Member Biography
Beth Huddleston was named founding executive director of Dallas Protocol in March of 2003. She was promoted to Executive Vice President of the WACGD (World Affairs Council of Greater Dallas) in July of 2005. In this position, she serves as chief of protocol for the city and oversees the International Education Initiative of the WACGD and the Dallas Committee for International Visitors. Prior to assuming this position, Ms. Huddleston was the founding director of the International Small Business Development Center, an international trade assistance program serving 49 counties of northeast Texas. Under her leadership, this organization was awarded the prestigious President's "E' Award for Excellence in Export Service. Ms. Huddleston speaks Spanish and has a working knowledge of French and German. She is the past chair of the North Texas District Export Council. Ms. Huddleston is also the co-owner of Sound Beginnings, Inc. founded in 1993. The company produces award winning children's language products including the Professor Parrot Speaks Spanish and Sound Beginnings: Languages and Music of the World. Ms. Huddleston's areas of expertise include international protocol, international trade for small businesses, public private partnerships and government grants.
