Member Biography

Shirley Heald is Business Development Manager for the Supply Chain Division of Ryder, Inc. Prior to this assignment, Ms. Heald was Vice President of Bid Freight Global, an international supply chain solution software company. She was also President of Heald International, Inc.,an agency of Exel/Mark VII offering logistics and just in time supply chain soluitions to international firms of all sizes, and was Regional Sales Manager for the international steamship company, Maersk/SeaLand, representing the Atlantic and Middle East division for 15 years.Currently, Ms. Heald is the Vice Chair of the North Texas District Export Council and has worked in collaboration with the other Texas DEC's to produce the Texas Export Resource Guide currently in its second edition of printing. Ms. Heals has held positions as President of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Intrnational Trade Association, and is a member of the French American and British American Chambers of Commerce. Her international expertise includes logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, sales/marketing, counter trade, export documentation, logistics software, foreign trade zones, NAFTA and CAFTA, EU, ISO 9000 and importing assistance. She is fluent in Spanish and conversant is French.
